Dr. Karen Parvin is a Chesapeake dentist who takes great pride in providing personal and compassionate care to her patients. A Navy veteran and a Navy wife, she has called Chesapeake home since 1999.
Dr. Parvin completed her bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Vanderbilt University, then went on to earn her DMD from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Following her graduation from dental school, Dr. Parvin joined the Navy, where she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. Since the completion of her military service, Dr. Parvin has been practicing in the Hampton Roads area. She has spent hundreds of hours in continuing education courses mastering the latest techniques in dentistry, allowing her to provide her patients with the most effective, modern and comfortable care available. In 2013, Dr. Parvin was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a prestigious honor that is attained by only a small percentage of dentists, in recognition of her commitment to advancing her skills and knowledge.
Dr. Parvin and her husband, Chad, have two children, Calla and Quinn. Dr. Parvin loves being a mother and stays busy being involved in her kids’ schools and activities. She also volunteers to teach the preschool and early elementary aged children in her church. Dr. Parvin loves the outdoors and all the beauty that our area offers, especially the beaches and coastline. In her downtime, she enjoys practicing yoga and cooking.
