1. Where Amy Started
Porcelain crowns could address many of those concerns, but Amy’s starting tooth positions presented an important treatment-planning decision.
Her teeth were healthy and were not significantly worn or damaged. Dr. Parvin wanted to consider whether Amy's cosmetic goals could be achieved while preserving as much of that healthy natural tooth structure as possible.

Amy had crowding, a deep bite, and differences in the shape and symmetry of her dental arch. Dr. Parvin recommended improving the position of Amy's teeth before beginning the restorative phase of treatment.
Amy began a year of SureSmile clear aligner treatment.
The goal was not to completely eliminate her deep bite with orthodontics. Instead, treatment improved the bite while moving her teeth into more favorable positions and addressing the crowding, arch form, and symmetry.
Those changes provided a better starting point for the restorative phase.
3. Trial Smile

Once orthodontic treatment was complete, Dr. Parvin created a diagnostic wax-up and trial smile.
Rather than simply deciding how many teeth should be included, she showed Amy what six-, eight-, and 10-tooth smile designs would look like in her own mouth.
Seeing those options allowed Amy to compare the differences for herself. She preferred the appearance and balance of the 10-tooth design, so veneers were planned for 10 teeth.

4. Provisionals
After The Teeth Were Prepared, Dr. Parvin Placed Provisional Restorations.
Amy could live with this version of her new smile and evaluate the tooth length, proportions, appearance, and how everything felt in everyday life.
Dr. Parvin also evaluated the provisionals for function and made adjustments where needed.
Once both Amy and Dr. Parvin were comfortable with the design, an impression of the approved provisionals was taken. The dental laboratory then used that information as a guide when creating Amy's final porcelain veneers.
5. The Result

After clear aligner treatment and 10 porcelain veneers, Amy had the straighter, brighter, more balanced smile she had hoped to achieve.

The final photographs show the visible change, but an important part of this case happened before the veneers were ever placed. Improving Amy's tooth position first allowed Dr. Parvin to treat fewer teeth and preserve significantly more healthy tooth structure.
The trial smile and provisional restorations also gave Amy opportunities to participate in the process, see how different designs looked, and evaluate her planned smile before the final restorations were created.
For Amy, the final result came from choosing a sequence of treatment based on her starting point, her goals, and what could be preserved along the way.
